The Cork Angels are made from recycled and found materials.
The Cork Angels are handcrafted, handmade from recycled, reclaimed, and found materials. The cork angels already have a head and a torso; I just articulate them. I use the cork as the body and then “dress” them. For hair I use steel wool, string, cording, floss, curled ribbon, metallic tissue paper, ribbon scraps, and yarn. For the clothes I use ribbon and fabric scraps, cording, sequins, and metallic paper. The wings are made from paper, metallic ribbon, plastic bags, and metallic tissue paper.
The cork angels can sit on a shelf or hang on the tree. Please hang the angel from the hook in the top of its head and not from the halo.
The Cork Angels are lovingly made by hand, and are truly one-of-a-kind creations. As gifts or keepsakes, you will have them for years to come and they do not go into the landfill.
Cork Angels are one-of-a-kind. Since they are made by hand, no two are exactly alike. I use champagne corks as the “body” and hand paint them and decorate them with different recycled materials.
